What we do
Support that fits around your life, not the other way round.
Every care plan is written with you before care begins, and reviewed as your needs change. Whether you need a hand with the mornings or someone there through the night, the care is shaped around you.
Personal care
Discreet, respectful help with washing, bathing, dressing, continence and getting about, always at your pace and in your way.
Dementia care
Calm, consistent support from carers who learn your routines, your history and what reassures you, so that home stays familiar.
Companionship
Conversation, a walk, a favourite programme, a trip to the shops. Company that makes the day feel lighter.
Help around the home
Meals and drinks, shopping, laundry and light housework, so the house keeps running the way it always has.
Medication support
Prompting, assisting with or administering medicines on time, by carers trained and assessed as competent, and recorded every time.
Live-in care
A dedicated carer living with you, with cover arranged for their breaks and day managers and an out-of-hours duty manager behind them. Support day and night, in your own home.
Out and about
Support to get to appointments, see friends and family, and keep up the groups and activities that matter to you.
Respite and recovery
Short-term support after a stay in hospital, or to give a family carer a proper break, with the same care and the same planning.
Not sure where to start?
Talk it through with us.
A short conversation is usually the easiest first step. Call us, or ask for a call back at a time that suits you. There's no obligation.
How it begins
From first call to first visit, without the fuss.
- Step one
A conversation
Call or message us. We'll listen, answer your questions and, if it feels right, arrange a visit. There's no obligation.
- Step two
A visit at home
Our manager or a senior member of the team comes to see you at home, to understand your needs, your routines and what matters to you. Family, social workers or health professionals can join if you'd like them to.
- Step three
Your plan, your carer
We write a person-centred care plan with you, then match you with a carer chosen for their skills and personality and, wherever we can, a shared language or culture. You meet them before care starts.
- Step four
Care begins
Your carer arrives when you've agreed they will. We check in regularly, review your plan at least every six months and whenever things change, and our on-call team is there around the clock.
Our promise
Five things you can hold us to.
Dignity
We knock. We introduce ourselves. We use the name you prefer, and we never rush personal care.
Compassion
Care given the way we'd want it for our own families, with patience, warmth and time.
Inclusion
Your beliefs, culture, language and routines shape your care, and you're part of every decision about it.
Responsiveness
Needs change, so plans change with them. Concerns are acted on straight away, and you always know who to call.
Wellbeing
Good food, good company and a life beyond the four walls. We help you stay connected, active and well.
If we ever fall short, you'll know how to tell us and we'll put it right. Our complaints procedure is open to everyone we support and their families, and if you're not satisfied with our answer you can take it to the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman. How to make a complaint.
About us
Small by design, led from the front.
- Proposed Registered Manager with more than ten years in home and residential care
- MSc Health Psychology and Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management
- Care planned, delivered and checked by people whose names you'll know
- English, Punjabi, Urdu and Hindi spoken
Simcroft was started by two people who believe that care at home should be as good as the best care anywhere.
Sana has spent more than ten years in health and social care, in people's own homes and in residential settings. She holds a master's degree in health psychology and the Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management, and as our proposed Registered Manager she will lead the service day to day: assessing, planning, training our carers and checking that what we promise is what actually happens.
Jaspreet looks after the way Simcroft is run: safe recruitment, governance, quality and the systems that keep everything honest. He trained in accounting and finance and worked at IBM before coming to care, and he brings that discipline to a small team.
Between us we speak English, Punjabi, Urdu and Hindi, and wherever we can we match you with a carer who shares your language and understands your culture.
We're a small, local company, and we intend to stay close to the people we support. You'll know our names, and we'll know yours.
